Last week, I went alone to the SANTEXPO trade fair at Porte de Versailles. This trade fair is organized every year by the Fédération Hospitalière de France (FHF) but, rest assured, the Fédération de l'Hospitalisation Privée (FHP) was also present as well as other federations of medico-social establishments.
I went from stands representing the various health administrations in France to those of manufacturers presenting different materials related to care and care support services: maintenance of premises, equipment and linen, catering services, smart beds, scopes, etc. to end with those of various start-ups using Artificial Intelligence in health.
The living room was large, on two floors, one of which housed, in part, the nurses' lounge.
What did I learn from it?
👉Health and its industry represent a significant part of our French GDP. Major players present in other fields such as the La Poste group continue to develop their impacts in it.
👉Artificial Intelligence is becoming more and more present in the daily lives of caregivers. However, its use is beginning to raise ethical questions.
👉Recruiting caregivers is becoming increasingly difficult across the whole of France, despite many new advantages.
And finally, as I am from Lyon, I was particularly interested in the stands of the Hospices Civils de Lyon and the Léon Bérard center .
